Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 September 2026
1. About this agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of EngSurface(www.engsurface.com), the digital tools, scripts, macros, and documentation offered here, and any purchases made through the site. EngSurface is operated as an independent engineering software business by its founder, based in Morocco. By using the site or buying a license, you accept these Terms.
Contact for everything concerning them: support@engsurface.com.
2. Products and licenses
Our products are digital goods: automation scripts (e.g. CATIA, NX, Excel, Python tools), covers macros, templates and add-ons. Each paid product page states the license type:
- Single user license — one named individual may install and use the tool, on any number of machines they personally use.
- Multi user license — the licensee organization may share the tool with engineers inside the same company. Priced per team/organization, not per seat.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, licenses are perpetual for the purchased major version and include 12 months of updates and bug-fix releases. Reselling, sharing outside the licensed organization, or posting the files publicly is not permitted.
3. Orders, payments and delivery
Payments are processed by PayPal (card or PayPal balance) — we never see or store your card details. Prices are displayed in the store currency shown on the site; PayPal may apply its own conversion rate.
Delivery is manual by design and stamped honestly: after payment is confirmed, the license package is sent to the customer email provided during ordering, typically within 24 hours and always within 3 business days. The order status can be tracked in your account page.
4. Refunds
Digital content laws (including the EU Consumer Rights Directive art. 16(m)) mean the 14-day withdrawal right is lost once the license files are deliveredwith your explicit consent at that point.
Before delivery, you can cancel for a full refund — email us and it is processed immediately. After delivery, we resolve problems case by case: if the tool has a defect we cannot fix within a reasonable time, we refund. We would rather repair a relationship than keep a dissatisfied payment.
5. Accounts and reviews
Accounts are personal, protected by password (and optional two-factor authentication), and must be registered with a real email you control. Reviews may be moderated: published reviews are real opinions of identified registered users; we remove spam, insults, and content unrelated to the product — never unwelcome-but-honest criticism.
We may restrict accounts that abuse the platform (spam, review bombing, redistribution of paid files, attempts to breach security).
6. Acceptable use of the tools
Our macros and scripts automate CAD/CAE and office processes. You are responsible for verifying results (dimensions, drawings, BOMs) before using them in production engineering. The tools assist engineers; they do not replace professional review.
7. Intellectual property
All code, designs, branding, documentation and content on this site are the property of EngSurface. Purchasing a license grants usage rights as described in section 2 — not ownership. EngSurface is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Dassault Systèmes, Siemens, Autodesk, Microsoft, or any other CAD vendor; all product names belong to their respective owners and are referenced for compatibility description only.
8. Warranty and liability
Tools are provided “as is”, built and tested by practicing engineers, but without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product. We are not liable for indirect damages (production losses, lost profits, rework).
9. Changes and law
We may update these Terms with notice on this page; material changes to purchased licenses are never retroactive. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of business (Morocco), without depriving European consumers of the mandatory protections of their local law. If a part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest continues to apply.
